Important Notice: Upcoming Blackboard Upgrade and Downtime

As you are planning courses for spring, please be aware that Blackboard Administrators in University Technology and Services in Columbia will be installing Service Pack upgrades to Blackboard on or about December 19th. This upgrade will require downtime of up to 48 hours when Blackboard will be unavailable. We will be confirming dates and sharing information about new features as soon as details are made available to us.

Reminder: Echo 360 Captioning is now available!

As you create lecture capture recordings using Echo 360 Personal Capture, consider submitting your recordings for captioning. Captioning of Echo 360 recordings is now available through the Department of Learning Technologies.

To request captioning of your Echo 360 recordings, follow (newly updated) instructions provided on the Echo 360 Captioning Site.  (When prompted, enter your USC Upstate network log in credentials to access the site and submit an Echo video file for captioning). Note that the captioning process can be greatly facilitated if you include a script/transcript of your recording with your video file.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or need help with the submission process.
Call the IT Help Desk at 5257, or email Cindy Jennings: cjennings@uscupstat.edu
